Adding a custom kernel module package to the build

Doherty, Adam
Hello:

I've created a package in /ts/ports/kernel-modules/igb for a newer igb kernel module.
I'm unsure of how I am supported to include this package in the build.conf so it's included in the kernel.
When I add "package igb" to the build.conf run build I am told in the output it can't find package igb.

I also tried, "module igb" but booting the image modprobe tells me "Module igb not found".

Thanks very kindly.

Re: Adding a custom kernel module package to the build

Don Cupp
Kernel modules do not need a ts package. They only need a port that puts the module in the natural kernel dir location. The port must be built and installed, and the name of module needs to be build.conf
