Thinstation 5.5.1 - Vmwivew ServerURL Issues

Sergio Mesquita
Hello Guys!

Something strange with my options, when enable VMView.

SESSION_1_TITLE="VDI"
SESSION_1_TYPE=vmview
SESSION_1_VMVIEW_SERVERURL="VDI.domain.com"

SESSION_1_ICON=ON
SESSION_1_AUTOSTART=Off

SESSION_1_VMVIEW_AUDIO_LEVEL=90
SESSION_1_VMVIEW_AUDIO_OUT=True

If I enable the last two options (Audio_Level and Audio_Out), when I start my machine, I dont have the ServerUrl available, and request me to add this one.

If I comment this two line, the ServerUrl appear ok on my machine.

Anyone can help me with this one
Thanks

This happens because they are not valid options to vmware. These get translated as passing --audio_level=90 and --audio-out=true as argument to vmware-view. When an invalid argument is passed, it ignores all of them.

I think you just want AUDIO_LEVEL which sets the device output level using ALSA.

Hello Michael.

The problem it´s that without that options, I cannot have sound on vmware.
I have AUDIO_LEVEL and also ALSA package enable.

If I enable Firefox on ThinStation I have Audio on the client using icewm, but when start the vmview client I dont have any kind off Audio.
